Limestone Scrubber

The most commonly used method of flue gas desulphurization is the spray scrubber using limestone as the neutralising agent. Nozzles create the reaction surface. Sulphur in the flue gas reacts with the lime (Sulfite-Sulfate precipitates with calcium as gypsum). The reaction product gypsum (the primary ingredient of plasterboard is eliminated. A number of FGD systems produce plasterboard-grade by-product.

Salt water

Due to its natural alkalinity, salt water (sea water) is suitable for wet flue gas desulphurization. Nozzles are the core product for the flue gas and salt water mass transfer. Dissolved sulphate is produced, of the type that is also found as a natural component of salt water.

Wellmann Lord process

Is a regenerable process to remove sulphur dioxide without creating a throaway sludge product. Sulphur dioxide from the flue gas reacts with sodium sulphite to produce sodium hydrogen sulphite. Elemental sulphur can be obtained after further treatment.Nozzles are important to the mass transfer of flue gas and washing solution. In the quench and in the washing tower.
